Beyond Evil, or Gwimul as it is also known, is a popular South Korean drama distributed by the jTBC network. It has been classified under the thriller, mystery, and psychological drama genres. Directed by Shim Na Yeon, Beyond evil is about two unafraid men of anything on earth. They travel across the length and breadth of their city to catch hold of a merciless serial killer. The screenwriter of the series is Kim Soo Jin. Beyond Evil will be airing a total of 16 episodes to conclude the stories of Lee Dong Sik and Han Joo Won. The plot of the series surrounds the lives of two people in the police department – Lee Dong Sik and Han Joo Won. Dong Sik used to be a very capable and celebrated detective at some point in time. However, that changed soon when he was demoted to carry out menial tasks in the Manyang Police Department. Detective Han Joo Won is Dong Sik’s new boss. He is also an elite detective with a famous father. Lee Dong Sik’s father is the star candidate next in line to take over as the Chief of the National Police Agency. Regardless of the many qualities that Lee Dong Won possess and his famous family, certain things seem off about him. It is almost as though he is hiding something very big.

Suddenly, people under their jurisdiction start dying in the ghastliest of ways. All of these deaths are unnatural and suspected murders. In order to keep their citizens safe, Dong Sik and Joo Won pair up to find the person behind all this. Intriguingly, the murders seem to be following a pattern that last occurred almost 20 years back. Their investigation leads them to discover secrets they had never known to exist. It brings up the dark pasts of those with who they spend their daily lives, including themselves. The cast of Beyond Evil includes Shin Ha Kyun as Lee Dong Sik and Yeo Jin Goo as Han Joo Won in the main roles.

Beyond Evil Episode 14 Recap and Episode 15 Preview

As we are nearing the end of the series and each episode comes with several revelations, it is not easier for our audience to connect the dots. The 14th episode of Beyond Evil was sad for the fans who saw a very young Joo Won suffer terribly because of his mother. As the series progresses, it is also easier to see how immensely logical Lee Dong Sik really is. In the first half of the series, he was mostly portrayed as a complete lunatic. Also, Joo Won’s arrest came as a big shock in the 13th episode. However, now we know that Han Joo Won comes from a very twisted family.

At this point in the series, the viewers know almost every killer. Certain people have reviewed the series based on what it has aired so far and concluded that they were initially worried about how the series was going to hold up till the end. But with new plot twists in every episode, Beyond Evil has its viewers hooked. For the 15th episode, we can expect more secrets to come out. We already know how a fake chase was created for distraction, the story behind the illegal construction, and Joo Won’s father tipping off the press. Beyond Evil Episode 15 will be releasing on the 9th of April 2021. The series will be airing a total of 16 episodes. The first episode premiered on the 19th of February 2021. With airing two episodes every week, the series will soon be coming to an end on the 10th of April 2021. Each Beyond Evil episode is an hour and 10 minutes long.
