Chanel names Kate Wylie as its new global chief sustainability officer and global president of the Foundation Chanel
Wylie was formerly the global vice president of sustainability at food and drink giant Mars. She will assume the position at Chanel in June upon Andrea d’Avack’s retirement. Wylie will report to Chanel chief executive and co-owner Alain Wertheimer.
Salvatore Ferragamo’s board will look different in April, after governance changes were announced on Wednesday
Ferragamo’s chairman will no longer hold executive powers, and the company will bring on more independent directors. These shifts come after Chairman Ferruccio Ferragamo, son of late founder Salvatore, temporarily gave executive powers to former chief executive Michele Norsa in the midst of challenges brought on by the Covid-19 pandemic.
Gauthier Borsarello tapped as creative director of SMCP’s De Fursac
Borsarello will succeed Alix Le Naour. He looks forward to diversifying De Fursac’s range while bringing the “youthful energy and past glories of Parisian nightlife” to the brand. Borsarello previously worked as style director of Holiday Boileau, founded Parisian vintage boutique, Le Vif, and co-founded men’s style magazine L’Étiquette.
