LONDON, United Kingdom — BoF compiles the most important professional moves of the week.

Tapestry hires interim chief as permanent CEO. 

Joanne Crevoiserat, who has helmed Tapestry since July on a temporary basis, has been named chief executive of the Coach and Kate Spade owner. The move comes after former CEO Jide Zeitlin resigned following allegations of misconduct. Crevoiserat, who will be responsible for Tapestry’s growth, is also expected to join the company’s board.

Levi Strauss announces senior leadership shakeup. 

Jen Sey, currently Levi’s’ chief marketing officer, has been promoted to brand president, effective November 30. In her new role, Sey will lead the company’s brand organisation, combining marketing, design and brand experience. Former Product, Innovation and Supply Chain President Liz O’Neill has been named chief operations officer and will be responsible for Levi’s’ digitisation and sustainability initiatives. Former Europe President Seth Ellison has been appointed chief commercial officer, while Americas President Marc Rosen will take on an additional role as the leader of a new digital enterprise office.

Calvin Klein confirms new global chief marketing officer.

Linh Peters has been appointed global chief marketing officer of Calvin Klein, effective November 2. In her new role, Peters will oversee brand experience as well as product and data-driven marketing for the PVH-owned brand worldwide. Calvin Klein has also announced the appointment of Jacob Jordan as global chief merchant and product strategist.

Roberto Cavalli names Fausto Puglisi new creative head.

Fausto Puglisi is Roberto Cavalli’s new lead designer, with his first collection debuting January 2021. Puglisi succeeds Paul Surridge, who exited his post as creative director last March. Puglisi will lead all aspects of the brand’s design and creative direction, and will take control of the main Roberto Cavalli line as well as diffusion line Just Cavalli and kidswear line Roberto Cavalli Junior.

Maus Frères hires CEO.

Thierry Guibert will take the helm of Lacoste-owner Maus Frères, effective January 18, 2021. Guibert replaces Didier Maus who held the position for 28 years. Guibert has led the Swiss company’s international division, which generated €3.2 billion in sales last year, since 2015. Maus will remain as chairman of Maus Frères’ board.

Saks Off 5th names chief merchant.

Molly Taylor has been appointed chief merchant of Saks Off 5th, effective November 16, 2020. In her new role, Taylor will oversee the company’s merchant organisation and will be responsible for driving customer-centric buying decisions. Taylor, who will also serve as a member of Saks Off 5th’s executive committee, will report directly to the company’s President and CEO Paige Thomas.

Chalhoub Group adds to executive team.

David Vercruysse has been appointed president of Dubai-based luxury goods retailer and distributor Chalhoub Group, where he will focus on growing e-commerce initiatives and strengthening brand equity. Michael Chalhoub will take the helm of the company’s Strategy, Growth, Innovation and Investment division.

Alpargatas names new president for Havaianas.

Frederic Levy will take over as president of Havaianas International, a new position created by parent company Alpargatas in a bid to accelerate the brand’s global expansion. Levy will be responsible for all markets outside Havaianas’s Brazil headquarters, and will report directly to Alpargatas Chief Executive Roberto Funari.

Cath Kidston taps creative director from Liberty. 

Holly Marler has been named Cath Kindston’s new creative director. In her new role Marler will be responsible for Cath Kidston’s print and design output, as well as communicating the brand’s overall creative strategy. Cath Kidston also announced the appointment of Rob Silsbury as digital director, overseeing online growth.
